DR. APRIL BAIER FROM CHICAGO
Dr. April Baier, DMD, an associate dentist practicing in Chicago, has won a six day, five-night trip to Germany, courtesy of VITA North America. Baier was one of hundreds at the CDS Midwinter Meeting in Chicago, who entered to win. Baier has been using VITA products since dental school and stopped by the VITA booth to check out the VITA Easyshade and drop off her contest entry form.
“I was absolutely thrilled when I got the call that I had won the trip,” says Baier. “I visited Germany for the first time a couple of years ago and loved the country, its culture, food, and of course, the beer. I never thought I would be headed back to visit again so soon, so this is wonderful!”
Baier’s week-long trip will include sightseeing in Germany and France, as well as a VITA factory tour and product review. “I don’t know if I’m more excited about Germany or getting to tour the VITA facility,” she says. “I studied engineering in college so the nerdy side of me loves stuff like that. I think that it will be a unique experience that I will be able to share with my patients and professional colleagues.”
Baier studied biomedical engineering at Syracuse University before attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated in 2011. After graduation, she moved to Chicago with her husband, where she practices as an associate dentist. In addition to practicing dentistry, Baier is involved in continuing education and will be receiving her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in June. She is also working toward starting her own future practice.
