VITA North America has recently released a new online continuing education (CE) course focused on staining and glazing characterization. The online course will teach viewers how to characterize restorations using new and improved staining systems. The audience will learn color modification, characterization and how porcelain placement and esthetic effects will help optimize a restoration. The program also reviews shades, applications and indications for the new VITA Akzent Plus stains. Users can optimize the shade of all types of dental ceramic restorations simply and efficiently, regardless of the CTE of the restoration. The stain and glaze techniques apply to conventional porcelain-fused-to metal, all ceramic and CAD/CAM milled ceramic restorations. The program costs $39.95 and offers one hour of CE credits. The viewer has access to unlimited viewing and program notes.
